The Loon Family is an entertaining and educational story following a loon family from nesting to the flight of the young.  There are humorous and exciting encounters with wise beavers, “keeper of the waters,” and a curious human family.  The nature sounds were recorded at a lake in Vermont over two nesting seasons.  The recorded live-on-site nature sounds include loon parents and young, frogs, songbirds, woodpeckers, barred owls and crickets.  Each of these sounds are woven beautifully into the story.  Lullabies and other gentle songs complete the soothing experience.
